I recently sat down with Nick Mellors, Director of Innovation Nottingham this week. We are collaborating on some upskilling in the local area. I was hoping to re-use our Citizen Developer workshop that we developed for the Festival of Science and Curiosity. Nick is very much a visionary with regard to the Future of Work, especially in getting people to think of the possibilities that 5G networks allow. In reviewing our funding partners, it appears that they are (rightly) focused on basic numeracy. We are hoping that we can demonstrate mathematics that delegates already know, (although they might not describe it to themselves as mathematics), by engaging in some fun workshops like Citizen Developer.
