I just spent a fascinating afternoon with the researchers at the Supply Chain AI Lab, part of the Institute for Manufacturing of Cambridge University.  

The team of researchers are led by Professor Alexandra Brintrup, and cover such areas as 

• uncovering hidden supply chain risks,  

• cross-enterprise supply chain optimization, 

• using collaboration to improve forecast accuracy 

 We discussed at length the fact that in the cross-enterprise collaboration problems, the hard aspects of the modeling are much more solvable than the soft aspects of the trust among supply chain participants.

We are looking for research areas at NHS Supply Chain that may be of interest to students at this prestigious institution.
