Dozens of software geeks descended on Nottingham Forest City Ground, meeting rooms yesterday for the 2023 Analytics Summit.  We brought together teams from across NHS Supply Chain to learn from each other and outsiders.  

Our theme for the conference was "Common Operating Picture".  It is a term that has more currency in a military context and we were delighted that UK Strategic Command gave our Keynote address.  The event is a bridge between institutions that will be of enduring value.  

Our breakouts discussed, all the usual suspects:  Creating value from Data, Transformation Best practices, Analytics Schema design examples.  We also went on to discuss: extreme visualization examples, data storytelling and conversation as a user interface. 

Most importantly, groups that rarely get to interact with each other, got to break bread and work on problems together.
